Life in NY

So far, our everyday life in NY has been pretty laid back which is a nice change of pace from our crazy international lifestyle of the previous months. Andy's work schedule is pretty heavy (he's currently preparing for lecture this evening while I write this post), and Carsten and I fill our days with lots of playing with diggers in our new home. Here's a brief snapshot of our 'everyday' life in NY:

Carsten keeps himself very busy no matter what situation we're in, but here's a few photos of him playing inside and outside of our home:

Yes, he loves to play in boxes. Fortunately, we have a TON of those at the moment :).

These are actually Andy's beloved diggers from when he was a kid. Carsten loves them too!

We haven't had much snow here, but we did manage to get 1 afternoon of sledding in. Carsten LOVED sledding and was thrilled to be able to go by himself. He just smiled and laughed the whole time. SO FUN! :)

One afternoon Carsten and I went to the local children's museum. It was a bit small and not really geared towards his age group, but we still had fun :).

We also take walks occasionally in the cold (we miss walking all the time like we did in Switzerland). We took a walk at Union's campus which was a lot of fun.

We also spend a lot of time reading books and currently, Carsten is learning the alphabet. Carsten insists on holding a big digger while reading books which are usually about diggers.
