Carsten had his 2 year check up today, and unless he gets sick, this was his last visit to his Swiss doctor. The doctor was impressed by his size, and actually, the nurse had accidentally marked his growth chart stats as a 3 year old (whoops!). The doctor was also impressed by his talking - we've heard him say at least 5 words in a sentence before, although 3-4 words together is more common. She said that he was very advanced, which is always what a parent wants to hear :). Carsten's 2 year old stats are (drum roll please):
Weight: 33.8 lbs (>90th percentile)
Height: 36.8 inches (>90th percentile)
Carsten also received 1 more vaccination, which I understand to be the last one for quite a while (yay!). They give us topical patches to numb the area for the shot before we go, and it really seems to help because Carsten didn't cry at all again. After the shot he just got down and played with the toys in his doctor's office. What a kiddo :). All in all, a great check up!
